The 14 enhancements it controls
- Image touch-ups, and image brightness and contrast
- Text improvements and CTA enhancement
- Site links and product extensions
- Image templates, image animation and image expansion
- Video auto-crop and adapt to placement
- Inline comments, description automation and media type automation
Why teams switch them off
- Your copy runs as written, without rewritten lines you didn't approve.
- Your crops stay yours, with no stretched or auto-cropped creative.
- Test results are cleaner when Meta isn't changing the creative under you.
- Brand and legal reviews stay valid, because what they approved is what runs.
Saved per ad account
The setting lives in that account's defaults, so every future launch uses it. If you want one enhancement on, say so: "turn on image touch-ups for this account". Only that one changes.
Aspect ratios too
Enhancements like auto-crop exist because creative often doesn't fit a placement. Supply 4:5 and 9:16 files and Ad Uploader puts each in the right placement: 4:5 in Feed, 9:16 in Stories and Reels.
Common questions
Does this change my existing ads?
No. It applies to ads Ad Uploader creates. Ads already running stay as they are in Ads Manager.
Can I turn enhancements on later?
Yes. Ask in chat and it updates that ad account's defaults for future launches.
