Meta's official Ads MCP is great for reporting and one-off edits. It can't upload creatives or bulk-create ad sets. Ad Uploader does the launching. Most people should use both.
| Ad Uploader | Meta Ads MCP | |
|---|---|---|
| What it's for | Launching creatives in bulk: Drive link in, paused ad sets and ads out | General Ads API access: campaigns, reporting, catalogs, pixels, A/B tests (~88 tools in seven groups) |
| Upload images/videos from a link | Yes: Google Drive (including private folders once connected), Dropbox or direct URLs, up to 50 files per import | No upload tool. It can list media already in the account. Meta's separate Ads CLI uploads from local files only |
| Create many ads at once | One preview, one yes, then the whole launch runs as a single job | One object per call, with no batch tool and no rollback |
| Reuse an ad set's targeting | Yes: new ad sets can copy targeting from an existing ad set | No duplicate tool |
| Naming rules & saved defaults | Naming pattern enforced on every ad set and ad; page, URL, copy and UTMs saved per account | No |
| Placement variants | Filename tags pair 4:5 and 9:16 files into one ad, with an optional thumbnail | Single-image link creatives; multi-media is "limited availability" |
| Safety | Created paused; activation needs an explicit yes; Advantage+ enhancements off by default | Created paused; your AI client asks before activation; admins can set rules in Business Suite |
| Reporting & insights | Not yet (early access on Agency) | Yes |
| Price | $39/mo Solo, $99/mo Agency, 7-day free trial | Free during the open beta (launched 29 April 2026); no post-beta pricing announced |
